Kate's mother emailed me last minute to make her daughter an Elmo birthday cake for her second birthday. This was an easy enough request, but I warned her that I had never done a figurine before. Considering it was for a two year old, she was not overly concerned. Anything red and remotely close to Elmo would be fine for Kate:)
Anyways, I gave it a shot and tried to create Elmo...and this was the final product..
Kind of looks like him, right?
The rest of the cake was simple. Two tiers, primary colors, nothing too fancy. To add a bit more "Sesame Street" A request was made for a name sign...
And of course, the final result
I am going to work on more figurines...
